83% missguided

My response to this picture ^ that was posted on my facebook page.

Why can’t the 83% believe we should not cripple the potential of those coming to our country? We do that by throwing just enough money at them to eat and shelter, with no ability to afford education, the transportation to get there and so on. They soon learn that if they do nothing they will continue to receive handouts. If they do something the "handouts" are taken away. I know this to be true from my own life experiences....and needing help. I can't imagine what it would be like if I were to go to a foreign land, being in that same position. It is true that some come here and climb over such adversity but not all. It is what's in the man to begin with that allows him to raise his head and to look past his feet.  To see potential and climb out from under the judgement, of those, who have been here longer.  I sometimes wonder if it’s timing that we hold against them. The last person through the door has more to lose then the first's has received. I believe we need to fix what we have created, take a deep breath, and roll up our sleeves believing we really care to do what benefits all not a selected few. To put aside what divides us, and build a foundation on what unites us. It's too easily forgotten that most of us come from another land. It does not matter who got through the door first. Isn't that why we have an "America" to begin with? Our for-fathers came through that same door, crafted out a land that held her arms open for those "Immigrants" (not Illegal Aliens) wanting freedom. Yes, it has gotten convoluted, blurred by the FEW with ill contentions. The goal line has been tainted. That is why WE need to have an immigration process. We need to fix that and provide progress for those who truly want to be here, send back those that aren't interested in progress. The lack of money should never be the reason a man can't reach potential. We need to come together as a people. Make it impossible to buy your way into government. Isn't that why we say, money is the root of all evil? There are so many at their boiling points, temper tantrums across this great land, it shakes at my foundation and shakes at yours. If we don't get a grip as a "PEOPLE" we doom ourselves. We will allow someone else to be the gatekeeper and might find ourselves and our ideal of what America is, not getting through "their" gate. Stop fighting each other. Lift your heads up and look at what our behavior and the media have led the rest of the world to believe we are. Isn't that important anymore? This immigration issue distracts us. Have you ever stopped and wondered who these distractions benefit. News is nothing but "OPINION” anymore. He who has the most money shapes the news. So it is "he" who creates the opinions that divide us as a people, and "We the people" let them. I feel I have a responsibility to my family, to those I love to keep the reason we have an America to begin with so ever present in their minds. I want them to know that if their opinion is theirs and not planted ever so craftily, by Opinion News, fake Reality TV, by the FEW. Then speak it. While we fight each other we can’t see where THEY are leading us. Leading us to a land that we won’t want, with a belief we don’t believe and nowhere else to go. We have seen millions of people be funneled to their deaths in other countries. Millions of generations we will never see or benefit from their potential, by the FEW. We have now collectively become the “few” and allowed the few to become our gatekeepers. We are not just the percentage they want us to believe. We are just numbers to them, numbers and unproven statistic. It makes us feel we belong to the many and not the few when we hold on to this 83%. We must not repeat past, but forever fortify our future.
